Katerina Giannouka has been appointed CEO of Jumeirah Group, ushering
her in as the first woman CEO of a major middle eastern hotel firm.
Giannouka will replace José Silva in the role starting December after
her five-year stint at Radisson Hotel Group where she served as
president of Asia-Pacific.
During her service at Radisson Hotel Group, Giannouka spearheaded the
launch of a comprehensive five-year strategic and operating plan,
growing the hotel’s portfolio to almost double of its size.
She brings with her over 20 years of excellence in the hospitality
sector, having also led the Asia-Pacific and China Development team of
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts spurring growth, supporting new brand
development and driving corporate decision making and strategic
planning. She also served an eight-year tenure at Starwood Hotels &
Resorts.
