Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has named two senior leadership appointments, with Bryan Foong Chee Yeong appointed CEO of airline business and Low Wen Long named group chief strategy officer, effective 1 February 2026.

Both executives will report directly to Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, MAG’s president and group CEO-designate, who also assumes his role on the same date.

These appointments strengthen MAG’s leadership at a pivotal stage as the group advances its Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP 3.0), driving growth in its core businesses and ensuring financial stability.

Foong, who currently serves as group chief strategy officer, played a key role in MAG’s financial restructuring during the Covid-19 pandemic and its subsequent return to profitability. In his new role, he will oversee the strategic direction and performance of MAG’s airline portfolio, including Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Amal, with responsibility for driving growth across global and segmented markets.

Low, meanwhile, will lead the formulation and execution of MAG’s enterprise-wide strategy, supporting sustainable growth and value creation across the group. Since joining MAG as head of corporate strategy in 2018, he has been instrumental in shaping the group’s transformation under LTBP 2.0 and LTBP 3.0, with a focus on long-term fleet planning, network optimisation and strategic initiatives that have strengthened MAG’s competitive position.

MAG’s senior leadership team also includes Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, CEO of aviation services, and Philip See, CEO of loyalty & travel services.
