Hilton has signed an exclusive franchise agreement with Yotel, bringing the design-led brand into its ecosystem as the first member of its new Select by Hilton platform.
Select by Hilton is designed to integrate “high-quality, established hotel brands” into Hilton’s system, allowing them to retain their identity and management while leveraging Hilton’s global distribution and Hilton Honors, said the hotel giant.
Launched in London in 2007, Yotel’s current footprint spans key markets such as New York, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Glasgow and Singapore, characterised by smart features like the flatbed-to-sofa Yotel SmartBed, and automated luggage storage options.
Yotel will continue to independently manage and license its brand at 23 hotels across 10 countries, with a goal of more than tripling its portfolio in the coming years.
Upcoming launches in 2026 include Yotel Bangkok Sukhumvit offering 250 keys, and Yotel Kuala Lumpur offering 300 keys.
For the second half of the decade, Yotel Athens will open in 2027 in the Greek capital, Yotel Lisbon in 2028 in Portugal, and Yotel Belfast in 2028 as the brand’s first Northern Irish property.
The first hotels are expected to be available for booking through Hilton channels later in 2026.
