Singapore’s Momentus Hospitality has expanded beyond Singapore for the first time, touching down in Darwin, capital city of Northern Australia.

This will mark Momentus Hospitality’s first international foray after launching Momentus Hotel Alexandra and Momentus Serviced Residences Novena in Singapore.

The brand has partnered with CEL Australia in the construction of a landmark property close to Darwin Convention Centre, due to open on the Darwin Waterfront at the end of 2026.

Momentus Hotels & Resorts will offer 236 guest rooms, two F&B outlets and there are plans for a Club Lounge. The hotel is expected to play a pivotal role in the revitalisation of Darwin as a premier leisure and entertainment destination, forming an integral component of the reimagined Darwin Waterfront masterplan.

Angeline Tan, vice president at SingHaiyi Hospitality and SVP at Momentus Hospitality said, "This new project signifies a defining moment for Momentus Hotels & Resorts, heralding the dawn of a new chapter as we venture beyond the borders of Singapore.”

Eva Lawler, Chief Minister of the Northern Territory said, “This project is great for tourism, especially in the area of conference travel, creating an extra 236 beds in Darwin. This project is also a win for workers in our hospitality and tourism industry, with positive flow on effects for other local businesses such as tour operators, and is another feather in the cap of the Darwin Waterfront area.”

Momentus Hospitality, which operates under the SingHaiyi Group umbrella, promises three fundamental values: Smart Designs, Simplicity in Execution, and Good by Nature.
