Your views on pizza could be changed forever by an epic pizza omakase pop-up at Mandarin Oriental Singapore in October.

Italian-born executive chef Daniele Cason of The Pizza Bar on 38th in Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo will helm an eight-seat only chef's table at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore’s all-day dining restaurant, embu.

The Pizza Bar on 38th is ranked No. 1 in 50 Top Pizza Asia Pacific 2024 and No. 4 in 50 Top Pizza World 2023.

Cason will present his art of pizza in eight-course lunch and nine-course dinner degustation menus, served omakase-style.

Omakase a traditional form of dining in Japan, translating as “I’ll leave it to you, chef.”

Cason said the Singapore pop-up will take diners on a gastronomic journey of pizza alla pala, a unique Roman-style pizza, “served omakase-style which embraces a culinary philosophy I value”.

The Pizza Bar on 38th will be open from 24-31 October (closed on 28 October), and be available for both lunch and dinner with two rounds of service for each session. Limited to eight seats per session.

Lunch will be an eight-course degustation menu which includes one appetiser, six different slices of pizza and one dessert, available at $168++ per person, and dinner will be a nine-course menu featuring one appetiser, seven different slices of pizza and one dessert, available at $198++ per person.
