Hilton has announced two landmark signings for key growth markets in Japan and China, marking Waldorf Astoria’s debut in Osaka, while Conrad takes prime spot in Chongqing.

These signings are for management agreements inked with Orix Real Estate Corporation and Chongqing Jiafa Industrial Co., Ltd.

When both hotels open, they will join the ranks of 30 operating hotels under the company’s group of luxury brands: Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts.

The latest management agreements build on the momentum created in Asia Pacific with the signing of Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi a year ago representing the debut of Waldorf Astoria in Japan. This was followed by Waldorf Astoria Xiamen and the multi-deal signing of four luxury hotels in China with leading real estate development company Shimao Group Holdings Ltd (Shimao) in April this year.

Most recently, Hilton launched its newest luxury collection in Asia Pacific with the debut of Roku Kyoto, LXR Hotels & Resorts in September 2021. Other properties in Southeast Asia have also been revitalised with refurbishments.
