The much-awaited Conrad Singapore Orchard finally launched on 31
January 2024, marking its official debut with an 'Orchard Fusion'
cocktail celebration.
The event was attended by representatives from Pontiac Land Group,
Kajima Development Pte Ltd, and Hilton, with Singapore Tourism Board
chairman Olivier Lim as the guest of honour. Renowned media personality,
Anita Kapoor, was the host for the evening.
The industry luminaries, as well as 350 distinguished guests from the
worlds of hospitality, fashion, culture, and culinary, were treated to
an immersive experience that showcased the hotel's commitment to art,
gastronomy, and nature.

Conrad Singapore Orchard’s featured the Curiosity Cube, an interactive live art installation.
Kwee Liong Keng, chairman of Pontiac Hotel Private Limited, reflected
on the property's evolution over a 40-year period, stating its
significance as the first atrium hotel in Singapore and which marked
world-renowned architect John Portman’s first overseas project.
“To maintain the classic beauty of this hotel, we decided to
modernise it. We’ve renovated the building to be more energy efficient
and environmentally friendly, and improved our guests’ comfort and
experience by refreshing the guest rooms, F&B outlets, and common
areas,” added Kwee.
Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton emphasised Conrad's
appeal to the conscientious traveller and envisioned Conrad Singapore
Orchard taking its place as one of the premier luxury offerings in the
Garden City.
The celebration spotlighted the hotel's incredible transformation,
showcasing the skylit atrium and inviting lobby in line with the
'Orchard Fusion' theme. In homage to architect John Portman's vision of
blending nature and urban elegance, the hotel featured stunning art and
floral installations.

Roving entertainers at Conrad Singapore’s opening party enlivened the atmosphere for guests.
The cocktail reception presented culinary artistry from Conrad
Singapore Orchard, including imaginative edible art installations and a
pop-up by the award-winning Manhattan bar with signature craft
cocktails.
Diverse entertainment, including roving artists, hoop and stilt
performers, and a modern jazz duet with ballerinas, added vibrancy. The
night featured the 'Curiosity Cube,' an art installation by local
collective GastroGeography of Singapore, offering guests unique
botanical illustrations as parting gifts. The celebration concluded with
an afterparty at Manhattan.
