KUALA LUMPUR - Hilton has signed to launch Conrad Hotels & Resorts, its global luxury brand, into Malaysia.

The 544-room, new-build Conrad Kuala Lumpur will open in the heart of the Malaysian capital, the Golden Triangle, in 2021.

Hilton signed the hotel management agreement with Malaysia investment institution, Permodalan Nasional Berhad.

When it opens, Conrad Kuala Lumpur will feature an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants and one bar, business centre, spa, pool and fitness centre.

A large events space will measure approximately 3,400sqm.

In Malaysia, Hilton currently operates 11 properties across three key brands – Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn.

Over the next three to five years, the company is targeting to open nine hotels, including five hotels under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, as well as the introduction of lifestyle brand Canopy by Hilton.
