The Ascott Limited has signed a partnership with Coronade Properties to manage its first property in Johor Bahru, Ascott Coronation Square Johor Bahru, set to open in the second half of 2029.
Located in the Ibrahim International Business District (IIBD), the 207-key, five-star property will occupy Tower 1 of the RM5 billion (US$1.18 billion) Coronation Square Johor Bahru development.
The mixed used 3.9 hectares project, the first in IIBD, will feature a hotel, medical suites, offices, a shopping mall, and residences, and will be directly connected to the upcoming Rapid Transit System (RTS) station at Bukit Chagar and the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine complex via a 210-m elevated walkway.
Targeting leisure, business, and long-stay guests, the hotel will offer facilities such as a restaurant, swimming pool, fitness centre, residents’ lounge, and meeting rooms. Signature Ascott touches will include themed suites, curated lobby art, bespoke service from the Ascott Artisan, and cultural programming under the Ascott Soirée initiative.
