Hilton has signed to open Waldorf Astoria Bali in late 2027, a move that further enhances Bali’s determination to become a luxury destination.
A partnership with property developer PT Balibuana Perkasa will see the oceanfront hotel open with 71 villas and suites on Sawangan Beach in the luxury tourism enclave of Nusa Dua.
Clarence Tan, senior vice president, development, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said Indonesia’s rise as a world-class destination “presents tremendous opportunities and underlines its strategic importance to Hilton in Asia Pacific”.
With the imminent arrival of Waldorf Astoria, Bali will be home to three of Hilton’s luxury brands, including Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts, in addition to flagship Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Garden Inn.”
Facilities will include a beach club, and Peacock Alley, a cliffside restaurant and pool terrace that reimagines the brand’s iconic lounge and bar – a signature of the Waldorf Astoria brand that traces its roots to the original hotel in New York City.
Fine dining will be in the hands of Dave Pynt’s modern barbecue concept that builds on the success of his acclaimed restaurants – The Ledge at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and Burnt Ends, his Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore.
Waldorf Astoria Bali will also offer traditional Balinese wellness rituals, fitness centre, and swimming pools that overlook the Indian Ocean.
Events spaces will include a 465 sqm ballroom and a chapel for weddings.
