You better watch out, you better not cry and you better not pout since most of us can't travel overseas this Christmas.
But Santa Claus is coming to town—on a digital screen near you.
With Visit Finland's Say it With Santa campaign, the destination's world-famous resident will this year act as a Christmas messenger to help send warm wishes to friends and loved ones worldwide with a unique video greeting.
“Say it with Santa will allow us to bring some extra festive cheer to year that certainly needs it. The elves and I have been working hard throughout the year and I look forward to hearing from many boys and girls," said Santa Claus at his home in Korvatunturi, Lapland, Finland.
Heli Jimenez, marketing director of the Finnish National Agency for the Promotion of Business, said: “We hope to find a way to spread the magic of Christmas online, so we especially invite the well-meaning messenger-Santa Claus to help us deliver the joyful message and the spirit of Christmas. People all over the world need to feel joy and happiness."
Open to all worldwide, simply mail your "greetings, warm wishes, or something in between" to Santa and his elves by 29 November, 23:59 GMT +2, here.
Selected applications will be turned into video messages and Santa himself will read them on Visit Finland's official YouTube channel by 13 December.
Message not selected? There's still a chance to meet the man himself on livestream via Visit Finland’s official social media profiles on 11 December, and lucky ones will get invites to private chats with Santa between 14-20 December.
