The Black Dog, a traditional London watering hole, has suddenly found itself thrust into the global spotlight, thanks to Taylor Swift’s latest song named ‘The Black Dog’ her new album.

Following the song's release, online searches for ‘The Black Dog’ skyrocketed, surpassing even the most iconic landmarks of London. Google trends revealed a staggering 1,429% increase in interest compared to attractions like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Swifties were quick to identify the pub mentioned in her song lyrics.

In her song, Taylor Swift accuses her love interest of visiting a bar called “The Black Dog” which she discovers by tracking her partner’s location function. The scene is set from the start, where Taylor Swift sings: “Your location / You forgot to turn it off / And so I watch as you walk / Into some bar called The Black Dog”.

Located at 112 Vauxhall Walk, The Black Dog boasts a charming ambiance by day and a vibrant atmosphere by night. Since Taylor Swift's mention of the establishment, its Instagram bio proudly proclaims it as "home to tortured poets @‌taylorswift".
