The king of fruits now has a dedicated museum in Asia, with the launch of the Kuala Lumpur Durian Experience Centre (KLDEX) on 4 July.
Not only does the 1,900 sqm, two-floor venue feature guided tasting sessions, but visitors can also expect experiences spanning a museum, local food, interactive workshops, and cultural storytelling at the theatre.
The daily theatre performance is ticketed, while durian tasting sessions require pre-registrations.
Sessions are also available at KLDEX for schools and corporate groups.
Located at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), the four-day young venue already has 13,000 followers on Facebook and about 1,000 followers on Chinese social platform Red Note.
Ticket prices start from RM 49 (US$12) for adults and RM 39 for children.
