A pilot who was reportedly seen roaming a luxury hotel drunk and naked has been suspended by UK low-cost airline, Easyjet, pending an enquiry.
The unnamed pilot was spotted walking naked through common areas of the five-star Melia Dunas Beach Resort and Spa in Cape Verde in the early hours of the morning after an extended drinking session in a bar.
He was due to operate a return flight to London Gatwick more than 36 hours later, but was grounded after the budget airline received complaints about the incident and a replacement pilot found.
Cape Verde is an island nation located in the central Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of West Africa
An EasyJet spokesman told the BBC the pilot now faces an investigation and that the safety of passengers and crew was its "highest priority".
