Qatar Airways’ Starlink rollout programme has reached a milestone with more than 100 widebody aircraft now equipped with the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky.
With more than 50% of its widebody fleet Starlink-connected since starting the installation programme in October 2024, Qatar has operated more than 30,000 flights with uninterrupted, high-speed, gate-to-gate connectivity.
To date, Qatar Airways has completed the Boeing 777 rollout programme and is finalising the Starlink rollout across its Airbus A350 aircraft.
Not to be outshone, Emirates will deploy Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire in-service fleet, beginning with Boeing 777 aircraft and completing the rollout by mid-2027.
The airline has already equipped its first aircraft with Starlink on a Boeing 777-300ER currently on display at the Dubai Airshow.
