SYDNEY – Jetstar Australia expects little impact on its international operations if ground crew go ahead with a planned strike next Wednesday (Feb.19) at Sydney, Melbourne, Avalon, Brisbane, Cairns and Adelaide airports.

The workers’ union is calling for better working conditions.

Jetstar Group CEO Gareth Evans said in a statement that the union’s decision to disrupt air travel at a time when local tourism and the economy is hurting was “unforgivable”.

Flights operated by Jetstar Japan, Jetstar Asia and Jetstar Pacific will not be affected by this industrial action.
