Emirates has launched an extensive initiative to enhance the travel
experience for neurodivergent children and their families. Collaborating
with local schools, autism groups, and stakeholders, the airline and
Dubai International Airport have introduced numerous programs to ensure
smoother and more enjoyable journeys for these passengers.
One heartwarming example of this initiative is 11-year-old Humza
Dabab, who, despite being autistic, possesses a profound passion for
Emirates. His first flight with the airline was a VIP experience,
tailored to his unique needs.
Emirates and Dubai Airports also conduct ‘travel rehearsals’ for
neurodiverse children, enabling families to simulate a lifelike travel
experience and boosting their confidence while improving services for
passengers with additional needs.
On top of that, the airline offers a comprehensive range of support for its neurodivergent passengers including:
1. Emirates employee training
Over 29,000 cabin crew and ground staff worldwide have completed
Emirates' 'Introduction to Autism and Hidden Disabilities' training,
equipping them with the knowledge and skills to provide support to
passengers with hidden disabilities.
2. Information in advance
Emirates strives to provide passengers with hidden disabilities as
much information as possible in advance, allowing families to plan and
prepare for their travels.
3. Free seat selection and bulkhead seat

their companions.
