SINGAPORE – Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has inked a US$2-billion Purchase Agreement with Airbus for 15 A320neo aircraft.
The 15-aircraft order, which includes up to 10 ultra long range A321XLR jets, is scheduled for delivery between 2021 and 2024.
The Purchase Agreement is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by Cebu Pacific with Airbus in June 2019 during the Paris Air Show for an order of 31 next generation aircraft.
In October, the carrier finalised the purchase order of 16 widebody A330neo aircraft, and this latest Purchase Agreement completes the remaining part of the MOU.
This year, Cebu Pacific has accepted the delivery of 10 brand-new aircraft, including five A321neo and four A320neo and an ATR 72-600.
The carrier operates a fleet of 75 aircraft, one of the world’s youngest with an average fleet age of five years.
