This cute 40-room hotel is tucked away on a side street in the small town of Saint-Claude in the southern part of the island of Basse Terre. Guadeloupe's quaint little capital city is within a 10-minute drive.

It sits under the watchful eye of Guadeloupe's active volcano, La Soufriere. The hotel thus offers an excellent base from which to hike up and down the volcano, as the start of the trail is just a 15-minute drive into the rainforest.
