Location and History

Swissotel is located on the eastern edge of the northern, modern region of central Quito. The hotel is surrounded by tall office and condo buildings. The area is not particularly attractive, nor does it offer any tourist sites, but it is close to Quito's upscale bar, restaurant and nightlife area. It also has faster, easier access to and from the airport than hotels in the historic center.
