Location and History

Architect Ricardo Legorreta's masterpiece opened its doors in 1968 just in time for the Mexico City Olympics, and this monument to modernism has been impressing arrivals ever since. As evocative in its day as any Frank Gehry edifice, Camino Real Polanco Mexico's original architect also had a hand in the hotel's 2002 makeover, putting his final stamp on this bold construct before his untimely death in 2011.
