Best Western Hotels & Resorts

The world's largest hotel brand, Best Western International Inc. is active in 100 countries. More than 4,000 independently owned and operated hotels do business under this brand name.

Best Western says it selects its properties based in part on their individuality and that each hotel reflects the culture of the area in which it is located. As a result of this strategy, the chain comprises some properties that were once castles and others that had former lives as drive-in movie theaters.

The chain has made a commitment to quality standards that it calls BestRequests. This package of amenities and services is available at every Best Western hotel worldwide. It includes a Continental or hot breakfast on-site; a data port connection in all guest rooms; free long-distance access, or free local calls less than 30 minutes; a coffee/teamaker with complimentary coffee and tea; irons and ironing boards; shampoo; hair dryer; designated smoke-free rooms at every location; and complimentary toiletries available on request. In the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean, all hotels offer free high-speed Internet access.

Best Western also has expanded what the chain calls Business Amenities. These accommodations can be found worldwide in more than 1,600 hotels and include meeting-room space, a free morning newspaper, exercise facilities and free wireless Internet access.

This chain is a recognized leader in the midprice range. Best Western also offers discounts for government and military personnel, business travelers, and AAA and AARP members.

Through its multitier loyalty program called Best Western Rewards, formerly known as the Gold Crown Club International, Best Western gives members an opportunity to earn benefits.
