Location and History

Built in 1924 by a UNC graduate, this delightful dormered two- and three-story neoclassic brick hotel was modeled after the Potomac-side view of Mount Vernon. The hotel was considered the height of modernity at its time, with an ice machine and electricity as some of its cutting-edge features.
