Taiwan now requires almost every visitor – both leisure and corporate -- to complete a digital arrivals card before entering the country.
The new Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) – which became effective 1 October – must be completed within 72 hours of a passenger’s flight arriving in Taiwan. No fee is involved.
Travellers need only enter their passport and contact details, along with flight and accommodation information.
For those who forget to complete the arrival card online, the TWAC can be filled in on arrival in Taiwan, with free Wi-Fi and devices available at the airport.
Those travelling in groups can nominate one person to fill out the form on behalf of up to 16 people.
