Laos has launched the Lao Travel Platform, a digital hub designed to help visitors plan trips and access tourism services in one place. Developed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the private sector, it also gives tourism businesses a channel to showcase their products and services to travellers.
Users can search for destinations, attractions, activities, accommodation, restaurants and transport options. The platform also supports bookings for accommodation, flights, trains and buses, as well as car and van rentals and purchases of tourist SIM and eSIM cards.
The launch is part of Laos’ push to connect travellers, tourism operators and service providers through digital tools. It comes as the country works towards a target of more than 43 million domestic and international visitors between 2026 and 2030.
