Starting from 14 February 2024, every international tourist travelling to Bali will be required to pay RP150,000 (US$9.60) per person, contributing to the preservation of Bali’s culture and natural environment.

The official website, Love Bali, advises travellers to make the payment before their arrival in Bali to facilitate a smoother travel process.

How to pay the tourism levy:

  1. Visit Love Bali’s website or download the app: Go to https://lovebali.baliprov.go.id/ or download the Love Bali App from Playstore or Appstore.
  2. Enter information and payment: Provide passport number, name, email, and arrival date, then choose the payment method.
  3. Receive levy voucher: The levy voucher will be sent to the submitted email address.
  4. Scan voucher at checkpoints: Present the levy voucher for scanning at checkpoints.

The complete information on the levy payment procedure is available on the Love Bali website at www.lovebali.baliprov.gov.id.

According to a document issued by the Governor of Bali , this international tourist levy will not only be used to implement sustainable initiatives but also to improve the quality of Bali’s services and facilities, such as:

  1. Better tourism management in Bali.
  2. Maintaining the culture and traditions of Bali.
  3. Cleaning up the environment to preserve its beauty.
  4. Improving the cleanliness, orderliness, convenience, and safety in Bali.
  5. Enhancing the infrastructure and facilities of public transportation.
  6. Improving Bali cultural tourism information service.
  7. Disaster management services.
