In a first for Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the line will offer a
complimentary beach clean-up shore excursion in Eden, New South Wales,
for guests aboard Norwegian Spirit during the ship’s inaugural
Australian and New Zealand cruise.
NCL is keen to educate guests on the important work that Take 3 for
the Sea is doing to reduce plastic pollution in waterways and oceans –
and inspire them to do their bit while on-shore in destinations like
Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Wellington and Napier.
Take 3 for the Sea is a not-for-profit organisation that believes in
actions to tackle complex problems, empowering individuals to ‘take 3’
pieces of rubbish with them each time they visit a beach, park or
bushland area to help prevent plastic entering waterways and oceans.
NCL has partnered with Take 3 for the Sea to support reaching their
goal of removing 50 million pieces of plastic from the environment by
2025.
Still with NCL, the line has unveiled its winter 2024/25 and summer
2025 cruises sailings to bucket-list destinations in Europe, the
Caribbean, and Alaska. Destinations include the Greek Isles, Israel and
Egypt.
The new season features longer and more port days, and less sea days.
