Explora Journeys has cancelled its Middle East sailings for winter 2027-2027 season and will sail the Mediterranean instead.
The Explora II was initially scheduled to sail the Middle East region from November to March, reaching Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
The updated itinerary will now sail the Western Mediterranean and North Africa. Ports that are included cover Funchal, Portugal; Casablanca, Morocco; and Ibiza, Spain.
The cruise line will directly contact all affected guests with reservations on the updated journeys, alongside travel advisor partners.
Apart from dedicated support, Explora Journeys has also promised “appropriate options offered where applicable”.
It is currently offering 10% fare discounts through 30 April for impacted guests who rebook on one of the new itineraries, as well as a US$500 excursion credit per guest.
More details of the itineraries will be revealed end of March.
The privately owned luxury ocean travel arm of the MSC Group, Explora Journeys will welcome the LNG‑powered Explora III in July 2026, with Explora IV arriving in 2027.
