International superstar Fan Bingbing has arrived in Singapore to celebrate the launch of Resorts World Cruises' Genting Dream’s inaugural 2-Night Cruise to Melaka. The new weekly cruise departs from Singapore every Sunday, offering passengers exciting excursions in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Melaka.

During the launch event, held aboard the Genting Dream, Fan Bingbing participated in a media press conference and hosted a meet and greet session with fans and passengers. She is also serving as the Visit Melaka 2024 Ambassador. The event welcomed distinguished guests, including Resorts World Cruises President Michael Goh, Melaka Chief Minister YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, and representatives from the Singapore Tourism Board.

Fan Bingbing officiated the launch, reminiscing about her previous visits to Melaka and praising its local attractions and culinary offerings. “We are delighted to have Ms. Fan Bingbing onboard to flag off our first cruise to Melaka,” said Goh. “Her presence adds excitement for our passengers, who not only get to meet an international star but also hear her experiences as an ambassador of the city.”

The Genting Dream now provides a variety of itinerary options for guests, including the newly launched 2-Night Melaka Cruise, which complements existing routes such as the 3-Night Phuket Cruise and the 3-Night Penang – Kuala Lumpur Cruise.

Jacqueline Ng, director, Cruise at the Singapore Tourism Board, expressed congratulations to Resorts World Cruises on the new itinerary, citing it as evidence of the cruise industry's commitment to offering fresh experiences to meet the growing demands of regional and global travellers.

Melaka is known for its vibrant culture and rich heritage, offering ancient landmarks, historical architecture, and delicious cuisine. Guests can indulge in famous local delicacies like chicken rice balls, durian cendol, and pineapple tarts while exploring iconic sites, including the A’Famosa Fort and the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum. With a 12-hour port stay, passengers also have the option to enjoy shore excursions to Kuala Lumpur before returning to the ship.
