Sands China Ltd., the leading operator of integrated resorts in
Macao, recently concluded "The Macao Showcase" at Marina Bay Sands in
Singapore. This event marked the first major overseas exhibition
organised by Sands China since the pandemic. Held from 7-9 June 7th
2023, the showcase aimed to highlight Macao's diverse cultural
attractions and revitalise its tourism and economic sectors.
"The Macao Showcase" attracted sales and trade partners, regional and
international media, as well as Singapore's residents and travellers.
Attendees were treated to an immersive experience that explored Macao's
heritage, gastronomy, fashion, arts and culture, and wellness offerings.
The exhibition aimed to diversify visitor source markets and strengthen
Macao's positioning as a premier destination for leisure and MICE
activities.

The food sampling at "The Macao Showcase" delighted attendees with a tantalising array of Macao's culinary treasures and local delicacies.
One of the key highlights of the showcase was the "A Taste of Macao"
exhibition, open to the public during the event. This exhibition offered
visitors the opportunity to indulge in Macao's gastronomic delights,
witness its vibrant fashion scene, explore its artistic expressions, and
experience wellness products unique to the region. The exhibition aimed
to showcase the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, local fashion
designers, and Macao's cultural heritage.
Gastronomy enthusiasts were treated to a wide array of culinary
treasures, including traditional almond cookies, nourishing congee, and
signature bakery items from Sands China properties.

The fashion exhibits at "The Macao Showcase" showcased the dynamic and diverse styles of Macao's renowned and emerging designers.
The fashion zone featured renowned and emerging designers, providing a
glimpse into Macao's fashion industry. Attendees also had the chance to
immerse themselves in Macao's artistic and cultural expressions through
exhibitions and mesmerising performances, including Kunqu opera.
The wellness zone showcased locally made products, such as kombucha,
skincare items, and healing gemstones, offering a holistic experience to
visitors seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Interactive experiences,
busking performances, and picturesque backdrops inspired by Macao's
iconic landmarks created memorable moments for attendees.

In addition to the exhibition, "The Macao Showcase" hosted the highly
anticipated MICE & Luxury Forum. Esteemed international thought
leaders and MICE specialists such as Northstar Travel Group’s executive
vice president and group publisher David Blansfield gathered to discuss
relevant topics and share insights about the industries. The forum
served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and potential
collaborations, with panel sessions that delved into luxury hospitality,
event technology, the post-pandemic MICE landscape, destination
marketing and luxury retail.
The Sands Lifestyle+ campaign, introduced during the event, aimed to
promote Macao's unique offerings and tourism hotspots. The campaign
sought to entice potential visitors by providing comprehensive insights
into Macao's cultural richness and diverse attractions.
