Tourism Malaysia has unveiled a series of durian-themed travel
packages, combining agrotourism with Malaysia's natural attractions. The
packages, announced on 15 August 2024, aim to offer tourists a unique
experience centred around the country's renowned "King of Fruits".
The new offerings blend durian tasting experiences with various
tourism activities, including visits to durian farms, cookery classes,
and tours of scenic locations such as Taman Negara National Park in
Pahang. The packages cater to different preferences, featuring options
like golf retreats, glamping, rail journeys, sightseeing tours, and
traditional homestays.
Highlighted tours include:

- Exploring Kuala Selangor and Sekinchan, featuring visits to fireflies and blue tears
- Day trips to Malacca
- Combining visits to Kiulu Lee Durian Farm in Sabah with white water rafting

These packages are part of Tourism Malaysia's efforts to showcase the
country's cultural and culinary heritage, aiming to attract durian
enthusiasts and provide a new perspective on Malaysian tourism.
An example package offered is a 4-day, 3-night Penang Golf and Durian
Experience, priced from US$781 per person based on two sharing a twin
