Thomas Cook (India), an integrated travel services company launched a new Gold Circle Partner (franchise) outlet in Karnal, Haryana. The outlet will also serve the nearby areas of Ambala, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Yamuna Nagar, Jind, and Kaithal.

Thomas Cook India’s Third Holiday Readiness Report reports that a significant 77% of respondents state that they require guidance from travel operators. This trend may have arisen from the confusing web of travel rules and regulations while the world adjusts to living with Covid-19.

In addition to helping customers navigate through the intricacies and complexities of ever-changing travel protocols, Thomas Cook India also launched its ‘Assured’ Safe Travel Program. This programme was developed in partnership with Apollo Clinics and ensures safety in every touchpoint of a traveller’s journey.

Among Thomas Cook India’s safety assurance for consumers is the ‘TravShield’ commitment whereby only vaccinated staff will tend to customers, and travellers will travel with vaccinated co-passengers.

Thomas Cook India reports that the easing of restrictions and higher vaccination rates bring with them a strong demand for travel. GlobaData reiterates the same findings, drawing special attention to the India travel market which the statistics company projected to hit record levels of 29 million outbound trips by 2025.

Consumers from Haryana with a stronger urge to travel include families, couples, groups of friends, young professionals and retired personnel, with preferences for culture and heritage, adventure or outdoors, culinary experiences, and spa or wellness to be weaved into their travel plans.

The Haryana market favours domestic destinations such as Goa, Andamans, Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala; and international destinations such as Maldives, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, France, Turkey and Egypt.
