Chinese to form top inbound market for Bali

According to Bali’s governor, Chinese tourists form the second largest source of tourism after the Australians.

The State News Agency Antara reported that the Province of Bali is targeting one million Chinese tourists in 2015 aided by liberalised visa rules. This will allow Chinese nationals to visit the Island visa-free.

Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika said that last year 560,000 Chinese tourists came to Bali and he is aiming for one million this year.

According to Bali’s governor, Chinese tourists form the second largest source of tourism after the Australians.

Discussions were underway with Chinese officials in Yunnan and Hainan about creating direct air links with Bali.

“With the free-visa we are prepared (for Chinese tourists), but if there are any deficiencies then we must fix them,” said the governor.
