Copenhagen has launched CopenPay, following a successful pilot in 2024.

The initiative invites visitors to the Danish capital to ‘pay’ for experiences across the city – with eco-friendly actions.

Those arriving at museums by bike or public transport receive free entrance and those who bring their own reusable cup to a café receive a free coffee.

There’s also the chance to paddle a kayak in Copenhagen harbour for free while collecting waste on the water, or visitors can opt for collecting waste in a nature reserve and receive a free sauna experience at a wellness hotel.

The trial scheme runs until the end of August.
