Preferred Travel Group has appointed Christine Tan as their area managing director for Southeast Asia, effective 29 October 2025.
Based in Singapore, Tan will oversee account management and business development across the region, supporting the company’s portfolio of more than 600 independent luxury hotels and experiences across 80 countries.
“Christine’s appointment marks an exciting step forward for Preferred Travel Group as we continue to invest in the strength and growth of our Asia Pacific region,” said Michelle Woodley, president, Preferred Travel Group.
“Her exceptional leadership experience, deep regional relationships, and proven ability to drive strategic value make her an outstanding addition to our regional and global teams.”
Tan brings over 30 years of experience in hospitality and technology, having held senior positions at Yanolja Cloud, D-Edge, Trust International, Pegasus Solutions, ANA Hotels International, and Whale Media. She also co-founded HEMs Group, a consultancy focused on e-business and revenue optimisation for hotels, and most recently served as vice president of sales – APAC at Lighthouse, a SaaS platform serving more than 75,000 hotels worldwide.

Tan has lived and worked across Europe, the United States, and Asia, and is recognised for her collaborative leadership style and ability to build client relationships. In her new role, she will focus on advancing Preferred Travel Group’s mission to support independent hotels through global distribution, innovative solutions, and personalised partnership.
