Preferred Hotels & Resorts has announced several key appointments and role expansions to reinforce its presence in the Asia Pacific region and support its network of hotel members.
Laurence Onfroy, who joined in 2024, now serves as Vice President, Business Development, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. She will focus on growing the hotel portfolio across all Preferred Travel Group brands, particularly its sustainable sister brand Beyond Green, while fostering strategic partnerships and supporting brand expansion in the region.
She is joined in Singapore by James Koh, Regional Director, Southeast Asia & Pacific, who leads hotel retention and development, and recent hires Cheryl Siow, Vice President, Global Sales, Greater China & Group Sales, Southeast Asia, and Matthias Ong, Manager, Public Relations & Social Media.
In Greater China and Australia, Eddie Wong has been appointed Area Managing Director, overseeing growth in both markets from Hong Kong. In Japan, Midori Kataoka has been promoted to Area Managing Director, with responsibility for 50 member properties, supported by new team member Yuichi Kanasaki as Director, Hotel Revenue Optimization.

Since January 2025, the company has added four new member properties in Asia Pacific – Amara Singapore, The Archipelago in Taiwan China, Himalayas Hotel Shanghai, and Treasure Bay Fuxian Lake in Yuxi, China – bringing its regional portfolio to over 90 properties, with further growth targeted in China, Bali, Vietnam and Australia.
