Crescent Seas has appointed luxury hospitality veteran Thatcher Brown as CEO, effective 1 August 2025. Brown, who most recently served as Virtuoso’s senior vice president of global products, will take the helm of the residential cruise start-up as it prepares for its maiden voyage in late 2026.

In his new role, Brown will shape the brand’s identity, define Crescent Seas’ global vision, and oversee all operational aspects of the business. His responsibilities will include leading commercial strategy, product innovation, and cultivating partnerships to solidify the company’s place in the emerging ocean living space.

Brown brings over 25 years of experience in the luxury cruise and hospitality industries, including senior leadership roles at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, Four Seasons Yachts, Dream Cruises, MSC Cruises, and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. His international experience spans Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

The announcement follows the March 2025 launch of Crescent Seas by industry figure Russell Galbut. The company’s debut vessel, the Navigator Residence at Sea, is slated to set sail in December 2026.

“I look forward to building on the robust launch and cultivating a community while redefining what it means to live and travel at sea,” said Brown.
