Grand Park City Hall has named John Kockan as its general manager. He will be responsible for the hotel’s overall performance.

He had previously worked in Singapore as general manager of another property. Most recently, he was general manager in Perth, Western Australia, and has held several senior leadership positions within international hotel chains.
“I am thrilled to join the Grand Park City Hall as we are at the cusp of a new chapter of its history. In so many ways, the story of Grand Park City Hall is that of Singapore, and I feel a great sense of privilege to be part of the remarkable restoration of this hotel that reflects the rich legacy of the country,” Kockan said.
“Singapore is no doubt my favourite city. Its vibrancy, cleanliness and healthy buzz is exhilarating and I feel right at home,” he added.
Grand Park City Hall, the new jewel in the crown for Park Hotel Group, is in its final phase of complete transformation to deliver world-class, thoughtful hospitality in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District.
The refurbishment is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of this year. The new Grand Park City Hall comprises 343 guest rooms and suites and is adjacent to City Hall Square, an upcoming lifestyle precinct that offers a variety of lifestyle, dining, beauty and fashion experiences.
