Starting 13 May 2026, Guy Bradley, JP will lead as the new chairman of the Cathay Group. He currently serves – and will continue – as chairman of Swire Pacific Limited, John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited, Swire Properties Limited, and Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited.
This promotion expands his leadership portfolio to encompass the conglomerate’s airline (Cathay Pacific Airways) and bottling (Swire Coca-Cola) operations, since joining the Swire Group in 1987.
Bradley succeeds Patrick Healy, who will retire from the group after more than three decades of service.
The incoming chair credited Healy’s “unwavering commitment and leadership” which help restore the Cathay Group’s numbers to pre-pandemic passenger flight capacity while expanding its network to more than 100 destinations.
Healy has expressed his gratitude to the team for “immense resilience through one of the most challenging periods in our 80-year history,” while thanking customers for their “unstinting loyalty” and highlighting the group’s over HK$100 billion (US$12.86 billion) investment to enhance the customer journey.
Speaking of his new role, Bradley will be “working closely with the leadership team on enhancing the Cathay Group’s overall performance, as well as continuing to support Hong Kong, our home city, and strengthening its status as a leading international aviation hub”.
