HONG KONG – Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Paul Jones as general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, effective April 2008.
Jones was most recently hotel manager of The Oriental, Bangkok. For the last two and a half years, Jones has been responsible for day to day operations of The Oriental and has overseen a number of refurbishment projects at the hotel, including the renovation of The China House, Sala Rim Naam Thai restaurant and the creation of the celebrated Ayurvedic Centre at the Spa. Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental, Jones spent six years in India with the Oberoi Group as GM of The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur as well as The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambhore.
