Langham Place Hotel soft opens

HONG KONG – The Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok, which forms part of the HK$11 billion (US$1.41 billion) mega hotel-office-shopping mall complex of Langham Place celebrated its soft opening after a 15-year long development. Brett Butcher, managing director of the Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok told TravelWeekly, "With the opening of the Langham Place Hotel, we envisage to bring to life one of the most interesting areas in Hong Kong for the five-star business and leisure visitors and in the process, change the face of Mongkok forever." The 665-room hotel has opened 200 guest rooms initially and the grand opening of the hotel will take place January 2005.
