Island Shangri-La names new hires, promotions

Hong Kong's Island Shangri-La hotel has promoted Don Lau to director of meeting services. He was previously assistant director of sales to the corporate market, having been with the hotel since 1997.

Vicky Yau has been hired as sales manager, handling corporate sales along with Ulysses Leung who joins as sales manager responsible for the Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition (MICE) market. Mandy Man has also been hired as director of catering.

Yau and Man both join from the JW Marriott Hotel, Hong Kong, where they held the positions of sales manager, corporate sales, and director of sales centre, respectively. Leung was sales manager for the travel trade at New World Renaissance, Hong Kong.
