Crystal Symphony will enter drydock in November 2025 for a three-week refurbishment, with updates planned for guest suites, public spaces and technical systems.

On Deck 10, the Aquamarine and Sapphire Classic suites will be fully redesigned by Italy’s De Wave Group. The layouts and bathrooms will remain the same, but new furnishings, carpets and wall coverings will bring them in line with the ship’s 2023 design style.

Several public areas will also see changes. The Atrium and Crystal Cove will be modernised with more seating, a relocated piano, a two-storey mosaic by DeCastelli, a new chandelier, and refurbished reception and bar areas. The water feature will be removed, and new furniture added. Stair lobbies on Decks 5 and 6 will feature updated ceilings, lighting, wall details and brass finishes.

Other updates include a redesigned dance floor and ceiling centrepiece in the Starlite Club, refreshed guest restrooms on Deck 5, and new wooden flooring in the Bistro.

Bernie Leypold, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, said: “We are proud to carry forward Crystal’s legacy while continuing to innovate... These enhancements aboard Crystal Symphony reflect our promise to create meaningful experiences for our guests at every touchpoint.”

Technical work will involve overhauling the fin stabilisers’ hydraulic system, renewing evaporators, installing biodiesel-compatible fuel and oil purifiers, and replacing large sections of the fresh-water piping system. Galleys, cold rooms, provision areas and compressors will be renovated, while generator auxiliaries and targeted steel replacements, including in fuel tanks, will be completed.

Crystal Symphony will return to service hosting the second annual Wellness Retreat voyages and debuting the new production show Club Nights.
