The development of SO/ Maldives, an 80-villa luxury resort located on
its own exclusive island overlooking the azure Emboodhoo Lagoon
officially begins, due for completion in 2023. Executives from
CROSSROADS Maldives and S Hotels & Resorts gathered for the
ground-breaking ceremony.
SO/ Maldives is marketed as a destination for adventurous and
sartorial socialisers who wish to get away in paradise, yet be easily
accessible via a 15-minute speedboat ride from Malé’s Velana
International Airport.
The
property brings together a collection of bespoke beachfront and
over-water villas conceptualised by renowned designers, complemented by
an array of dining and entertainment experiences.

SO/ Maldives is the brand’s fifth property in Asia, with other
locations in Bangkok and Singapore. The brand is part of Ennismore, a

founder-built brands with purpose at their heart. Ennismore has 87
global operating properties, with a further 141 hotels in the pipeline.
