Accor took the wraps off its latest Raffles property last week at a gala celebration in Shenzhen.
The latest addition to the 130-year-old brand’s collection is part of a mixed-use complex at One Shenzhen Bay, which is adjacent to the Qianhai Economic Zone in the southern Chinese city’s Nanshan District.
The building also features offices and serviced apartments, as well as a concert venue located on the 71th floor -- the highest in the world – and a rooftop helipad.
The hotel’s 168 guestrooms and suites offer views of Shenzhen Bay and Hong Kong beyond, with guests welcomed through its lobby on the 34th floor.
There are six restaurants and bars at the hotel, including the signature Long Bar, RUI Lounge for a spot of afternoon tea, Japanese cuisine at Kokoni and classic Cantonese dishes at Yun Jing.
For meetings and events, the hotel offers 3,000sqm of event space, including a column-free grand ballroom and eight multifunction halls.
Other leisure amenities include its award-winning spa, fitness centre and indoor swimming pool.
“As Shenzhen is a key component to the government’s plans for the Greater Bay Area, it is linked to the economic, innovation and infrastructure development of Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou”, said Gary Rosen, chairman and chief operating officer, Accor Greater China.
“All of the signature Raffles delights will be an exciting introduction to the Shenzhen market, combined to offer a new destination for relaxation, hospitality and socially rewarding experiences”, he added.
