Hilton and Ayala Land Hospitality have announced the signing of Canopy by Hilton Makati, set to open in 2026. The property will be the first Canopy by Hilton in the Philippines.
Located within the One Ayala development in Makati City, the 24-storey hotel will feature 400 rooms and suites. The design will incorporate contemporary comforts alongside materials and artwork inspired by Manila’s cultural scene.
Guests will have access to a range of dining and social spaces, including a destination restaurant, rooftop bar with skyline views, and a speakeasy. The hotel will also feature a pool deck, a gym with group classes, and meeting spaces designed to reflect the local creative energy.
“Introducing our Canopy brand to the Philippines is a significant milestone, especially in such a vibrant junction in the heart of Makati,” said Maria Ariizumi, vice president, development, South East Asia, Hilton. “Metro Manila is ripe for a fresh perspective on hospitality, and we believe Canopy’s lifestyle approach will resonate with both local and international guests.”
George Aquino, president and CEO of Ayala Land Hospitality, added: “We’re thrilled to team up with Hilton to bring Canopy’s vibrant spirit to Manila. It’s not just about adding rooms – it’s about creating stays that spark curiosity and celebrate Filipino creativity.”
The property will participate in Hilton Honors, the company’s guest loyalty programme, which offers members benefits including exclusive discounts, flexible payment options, and free standard WiFi.
