Marriott International has introduced its City Express by Marriott brand to Asia Pacific with the opening of two hotels in Osaka, targeting value-driven leisure and business travellers.

The dual debut includes the 100-room City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya in Osaka’s Minami district, and the 143-room City Express by Marriott Osaka Namba South in the Hanazono-kita neighbourhood of Nishinari-ku.

The brand focuses on quality, simplicity and efficiency. Guests at both hotels can expect complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, daily breakfast with hot and cold options, a beverage welcome corner, and flexible workspaces for business travellers.

City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya offers 100 keys at the Minami district, while City Express by Marriott Osaka Namba South offers 143 keys.

Location is a key drawcard.

City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya is directly adjacent to Shin-Imamiya Station, linked to the JR Osaka Loop Line, Nankai Main Line, and Osaka Metro for travels across the city and wider Kansai region.

Guests can explore nearby attractions including Tsutenkaku Tower, Tennoji Zoo, and Kuromon Market, while the shopping and entertainment districts of Namba, Dotonbori, and Shinsaibashi are about seven to 10 minutes away.

City Express by Marriott Osaka Namba South is set in the Hanazono-kita, Nishinari-ku neighbourhood, adjacent to Hanazonochō Station on the Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line, providing direct and convenient access to central Osaka.

Getting to Namba, Dotonbori, and Shinsaibashi takes between seven to 12 minutes, with Osaka Dome and Osaka Castle Park also accessible from the hotel.

Yuji Tanaka, market vice president for Japan and Guam at Marriott International, said the Osaka launch reflects the company’s “confidence in Japan’s travel market and the growing demand for high-quality, value-driven accommodations”.
