Accor will open its first MGallery outpost in Korea in 2022, as part of a development that includes residences and offices.
The 197-key boutique property will be opening in Seoul’s Mapo district, and will overlook the Hangang River, offering views of the Yeouido city skyline.
It will offer a range of dining outlets, outdoor swimming pool and meeting spaces for weddings, conferences and events – all within a five-minute walk of the central business district.
“The signing of an MGallery Hotel in Seoul marks a key milestone for our Group, as it represents our focus on expanding Accor’s luxury hotel portfolio in South Korea,” remarked Patrick Basset, chief operating officer of Accor for Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia and the Maldives.
“We are delighted to expand the brand’s presence in Northeast Asia following the recent launch of our first MGallery hotel in Japan with the successful opening of MGallery Kyoto Yura”, added Basset.
Accor Ambassador Korea, a joint venture between Accor and Ambassador Hotel Group, has partnered with Pungnong Co., Ltd to open the property. Under the Accor Ambassador Korea Hotel Management portfolio are 24 hotels in South Korea, with five more in the pipeline that are expected to open by 2022.
The MGallery Hotel in Seoul joins a collection of more than 100 boutique hotels in 26 countries.
