SINGAPORE - Hotels are now offering hospital-grade hygiene to reassure guests during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond that their welfare will be front and centre of operations.
For the large international chains, measures are already underway to offer guests protection at every step of their journey through the hotel from contactless check-in to contactless check-out. From back of house to front of house.
Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) is using healthcare grade disinfectants that are certified and approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be effective against Covid-19.
The Group will also introduce electrostatic sprayers to apply Oxivir, an accelerated hydrogen peroxide (AHP) based, fast acting cleaner and disinfectant which uses active ingredients that break down into water and oxygen after use.
PPHG has already implemented the standard WHO protocols of safe distancing, thermal scanning, using safe entry codes for tracking, wearing of masks and using of hand sanitisers since the beginning of the outbreak.
All PPHG guests will be given Pan Pacific Care Packs comprising hand sanitisers, surgical masks and disinfectant wipes when they check into the hotel.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has stepped up precautionary measures. It’s “We Clean. We Care. We Welcome.” campaign has been rolled out to more than 145 hotels across 80 locations under the MHR portfolio.
MHR has introduced 10 Key Hallmarks to ensure its properties adhere to the highest possible cleanliness and guest safety protocols, overseen by hygiene ambassadors.
A hygiene ambassador in each hotel will ensure that employees are trained with the latest processes and procedures to enhance guest safety and comfort.
In Bali, the guest safety regime at The Mulia Bali Resort starts with sanitisation of incoming guests’ luggage and guest temperature checks.
Stringent health and safety measures continue throughout the hotel and villas with safe distancing in restaurants, outdoor areas and gyms and room amenities to include hand sanitiser and masks.
New wellness menus in restaurants are designed to boost immune systems and uncooked dishes have been temporarily removed from dining areas.
