The Kerry Hotel Hong Kong says it’s ‘business as usual’ at the hotel ahead of the HICAP summit.

The organisers of Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific - to be held at the Kerry Hotel in Hong Kong October 23-25 - have assured delegates that safety and security of HICAP attendees and sponsors “continues to be our main goal as we continue to work toward hosting the 2019 event”.

In a statement, Jeff Higley president, The BHN Group, said, “With this past weekend’s peaceful protests, we remain hopeful that disruptions become less common and any protest-related inconveniences to Hong Kong’s citizens and visitors no longer occur.”

Kerry Hotel general manager, Andrew den Oudsten, said the hotel  is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for HICAP attendees and hotel employees “and things here are most definitely business as usual”.

“With regards to the current situation in Hong Kong, I would like to assure you that all of our hotels are operating as normal and the safety and security of our guests and colleagues are our key priorities,” he added.

“We have been assisting our guests and advising them when appropriate to avoid unnecessary delays or disruptions in their travel plans.

“As an added precaution, we have also enhanced security measures in the hotel and will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly.”
